Introductions

It's time to introduce the Stockman brood to all who visit this site. Our family is large and growing as I write - some of us are growing up and some of us are growing out (LOL). There are in-laws, outlaws (just kidding), adoptees, young children, old children, and even older children.
The picture above was taken in June of 2005. This is only part of the brood.

Arthur Barton, AKA Poppa, Pops, or Grandpa, is our patriarch. He is direct, well read, & has many opinions on varied subjects. Much to Gogo's chagrin, Poppa is an armchair spectator of many sports, but he keeps the backyard immaculate and his birds well fed.

Pauline, is our lovely matriarch, affectionately called Gogo and Grandma by many who know and love her. She is gracious, mercy motivated, and a great listener. Gogo loves her family and her backyard.

These two are the mother and father of three amazing children, Suzanne, Kathleen, & Grant. They in turn had two children each. Suzanne lives in northern California with husband, Rick. Nearby are her two children, Kelly and Bart. Kelly and Brent have two kids. Bart and Terri have three girls. Kathleen lives in Michigan near her oldest daughter, Jennifer and Andy, Jennifer's husband, who have three kids. Kath's younger daughter lives in Oregon with her husband, Matt and two kids.

Grant and I (Mickey) live in central California near the patriarch and matriarch. We have two sons, Brandon (BJ) and Justin who live in northern California with their wives. Justin and Jenn have two girls (one is still cooking in the womb). BJ and Kate plan on providing Grant and I with more grandchildren in the future.
We look forward to hearing from more of the relatives & friends in the days and weeks to come. Please leave comments, posts and pictures for us all to enjoy

I made it here I am.

Mickey you did a wonderful job putting this blog togeather, and Im afraid I gave credit to the wrong one! what a writer you are. I love the pictures so much, of your mom and dad when they were young. The one of the baby with the hair standing right up made me smile for sure. Im quite sure that was you. How cute! It still seems like you should be 14 and coming to Holly Lane to give me piano lessons, what a fun time we had, we did more laughing than anything eles. How fun that was, and Pops and I had so much fun with your parents at the Inn dancing so many saturday nights, I have to admit we did a lot of talking about you and Grant. we were thrilled that the two of you had gotten togeather. but had kind of hoped you would finnish your college. Of course youth has other ideas. Your mom and I could not complain as we were married young. Pops and I not even having a car, went on our honey moon on a bus. We did everything on a bus. We married went to San Diego while he was a marine. Had to go to a big place with a ton of phones to make long disance calls. It was mostly for service men, so it would not cost so much. Pops had weekends off I worked weekends, he got home about four, I worked till nine, so we seldom ran into each other, when we did, the house was full of Marines as they could go to a house and not stay at the base. We did have fun anyway. Didn't miss TV. phones, or a car for some time. well thats all folks
